A resale feed only works if the closets in it are close enough to feel like people you might actually run into. So rather than switching on the whole country at once, Vintra opens campus by campus — starting with UC San Diego on September 1, 2026.

Secondhand moves on trust and proximity. On a campus, the person selling a jacket is two buildings away, you have people in common, and a closet you follow is one you can picture. That’s the density Vintra is built for. Opening everywhere at once would produce the exact endless, anonymous grid it exists to avoid.
You don’t have to be a student
Buying on Vintra is open to anyone 18 or over, anywhere in the US — no .edu address required. “Campus community” describes where the sellers are concentrated first, not who is allowed to shop. Selling is by application and starts in the communities that are open.
Everything ships
There is no local pickup at launch, even on campus. Every order gets a prepaid label and a tracking number so the record is the same whether the buyer is across the quad or across the country. How shipping works ↗

Vintra is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any college or university. Campus names are used to describe where a community is, nothing more.
